Alaina J Gaborieau

Alaina's legal career has taken her to Dublin and London where she worked in civil and criminal litigation, commercial law and immigration. Back in New Zealand she worked as in-house counsel in an actuarial, now NZX listed, firm before joining Parker Cowan in 2011. At Parker Cowan, Alaina enjoys practising medico-legal, construction law, general professional indemnity law (including professional disciplinary matters), statutory liability and general liability law.
As someone who has run marathons for fun, Alaina is single-minded and driven. She is analytical and loves it when her problem-solving skills result in a win for clients!
When she is not working she spends much time on her lifestyle block where there are numerous animals to keep her occupied, including the very large and famous Horace the pig!
In her spare time, Alaina’s most likely, in the ski season, to be up one of Queenstown’s ski fields honing her snowboarding skills, ready to take them overseas when the opportunity presents itself.
